Energetically Enhanced Art

The first edition of GIAN KAMAL in 2015 was inspired by a type of meditation called "dhyana": Dhyana in Sanskrit describes "a deeper awareness of oneness which is inclusive of perception of body, mind, senses, and surroundings, yet remaining unidentified with it".

The dhyana print marks the launch of the GIAN KAMAL lounge and sleepwear capsule which is comprised of 8 styles,  and 4 different prints, featuring kimonos, kaftans, long and short pajamas, as well as scarves, all printed on charmeuse and crepe de chine sustainable silk.

The creative process for the prints was inspired by the "three gunas", the subtle qualities of nature that underlie matter, as they are referred to in the ancient Hindu philosophy of the Advaita Vedanta.

These qualities or tendencies of nature are sattva (purity, stillness of mind) rajas (passion, imbalance), and tamas (inertia, darkness).

The Dhyana collection strives to capture the interplay of these tendencies in its fabric designs, always highlighting the predominance of the sattvic element of purity and balance.

Supported by the most sustainable approach available and using organic and cruelty-free production methods,  each GIAN KAMAL piece is intended to impart higher vibrational frequencies and thus enhance the energetic signature of the wearer and the environment.

While the Dhyana capsule collection is the first of a series, its philosophy lays the groundwork for all future collections.
